lend a
helping hand...
Lend a Helping Hand is a non-profit organization that helps
the elderly, disabled, and homeless in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Lend a Helping Hand first began in 2006, in the dreams and
vision of Lanny Ford. He has a deep concern for the elderly,
disabled and homeless of Grand Prairie. He, wife Nell and
son, Tim, began the arduous task of developing the group and
they recently became incorporated.
The current board also consists of a Parliamentarian, Byron
K. Williams, who spent many hours training the Board in the
workings of an organization of this kind, Gael Golden,
Secretary and John Golden, Financial Officer are now working
to complete the 501C3 paperwork before the end of the year.
They also have David Dolezal and Fred Brumbaugh who will be
Chairpersons of Disabled Interest and Elderly Interest
groups, respectively. The last group is Homeless Interest
which they are seeking the most appropriate candidate for.
Our newest addition is Gloria Colvin as Newsletter Editor.
They are always in need of Volunteers and people with
special skills and training. If you would like more
information, please call Lanny at 214-235-0255 or Gael at
972-790-1772. We will also be happy to send you a copy of
the bi-monthly newsletter.
