about Pastor Ryan...

The Rev. Ryan Mills has served as the Pastor of Our Redeemer since September of 2006.

Pastor Ryan is called to the pastoral ministry of preaching, teaching, presiding, and praying (Acts of the Apostles, 2:42).  He is passionate about creatively and powerfully proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified and risen.

Pastor Ryan, a Minnesotan, grew up in a military family stationed all over the world, including 10 years in the United Kingdom.  His extended family has ranched in south Texas since the 1800s.  He lives in Grand Prairie with his dog, Cookie. He enjoys bicycling, hiking, skeet-shooting, the Simpsons, King of the Hill, Law and Order, and The Office.

Pastor Ryan holds a B.A. from Augsburg College, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Master of Sacred Theology from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.

His previous parish assignments were Lutheran Church of the Messiah, Princeton, NJ, and Calvary Lutheran Church, Fort Worth, TX.  He was ordained by Bishop Kevin Kanouse, in the historic episcopate, on September 10, 2006.
